🔩 Key Features
A3 Grade Carbon Steel: Offers an ideal balance of strength, machinability, and cost-efficiency—perfect for high-volume gym use and rugged lifting environments.
Hard Chrome Finish (15–20μm): Electroplated chrome coating ensures corrosion resistance and a clean, industrial aesthetic. Thickness may vary slightly (15–20 microns) due to current distribution during electroplating.
Precision Fit: All plates are machined to fit snugly on 50.4 mm Olympic barbell sleeves.
Durable & Slim Profile: Low-bulk design allows more plates per bar for serious strength training.
Anti-Scratch Engineering: While A3 steel is optimized for mass production and durability, our previous trials with 45# steel offered marginal scratch resistance at a higher cost and more complex processing. A3 offers the best overall value-performance ratio.
⚙️ Additional Insights
Material R&D Note: 45# steel offers enhanced surface hardness, but requires pre-heating for processing—making A3 the smarter choice for scalable, consistent output.
Finish Range Disclaimer: Hard chrome application uses electric current to deposit chromium on steel. Due to surface geometry and current variation, thickness naturally ranges from 15–20μm. Performance remains uncompromised across the surface.
